What to Expect at Your First Appointment?
The appointment will begin with completing any necessary paperwork, including reviewing your dental and medical history. Our dentist will inspect your teeth, gums, bite, and jaw for any abnormalities, cavities, or signs of wear. Following the exam, our hygienist will perform a professional cleaning to remove any built-up plaque and tartar. You can expect your teeth to be polished until they feel smooth. This cleaning is essential for good oral hygiene and helps to prevent gum disease and tooth decay. Once completed, our dentist will discuss the findings from your exam and x-rays. They will analyze your risk for future problems based on factors like your medical history, diet, grinding or clenching habits, and current oral conditions.
